voices

you hear them, don't you?

the voices

they whisper in your ear

whore

slut

bitch

worthless

just like your dad

just like your mom

it would be much easier if i were dead

i hate it here

i hate myself

i hate my body

i hate my life

the voices tell you these things

and they cackle with glee as they watch you suffer

they tell you how easy it would be

to drag the blade down your skin

to watch the blood

drip

drip

drip

until you were fast asleep

and you never woke up again

they listen to you sleep

collect your greatest nightmares

to use against you

and in reality

we'll never win against the voices.
