Void

A searing lamp lies low.

The illumination blinding.

Eyes downcast, unseeing.

Small steps as not to fall.

The void serenades the lost.

The beckoning it brings.

Not a whisper to be heard.

Yet the impression is resonant.

Leading to the fall of the deprived.
