In this here and now

I don't hear it now

A void like the plague

Has swept through

And so cleared out

The sound of laughter

Crying

Without a doubt is gone

No memory lane

 

To keep me on track

I keep rolling back

Trolling, get' my goat

And giving me flak

Burning the bridges

Gruff ridges hide how

The feel is unreal

And so I am now

Ready to give up

 

The ghost of the past

Haunting my gravely

Ill brain

Distracting me from

My route to remain

Inanity sums up

In sane terms again

The pulse of my still

Beating heart
