Volcano

Ive taken care of kids all my life.

A  mother at 5 when mine left me behind

Left as a caft stuck in porouse mud

While the ridicule of judges telling me I had no right to be

morphed into hot acidic tears called lava,

raced toward me.

Life taught me that to advance in it

i must pull myself on th ankles and feet of others

who've pulled theirselves on the feet and legs of those before

all hopeing to reach the top but

there is no top

only more carnage.

The rich and powerful piss on us and the media tells us its rain

and the sad thing is we beileve it.

slowly being pulled into our moulted Hell

We are the young ignorant children looking at the older generations for guidance

but all they do is pull quarters from behind our ears and tell us its magic

There is a volcano beneath us, growing shakeing twisting into our beings

and we have all put on poliical and cultural gas masks

obscuring our veiws to avoid the admentance of the exictance of these fumes

but it doesnt matter if we beileve they are there or not

because they will kill us igrorant or not

until we rise up and out of our safety suits that arent really safe

all they do is deprive us of our life

our air

our freedom

our hopes

our dreams

and breath in these fumes that we've created.

That volcano underneath us will get more and more angry

like an abusive parent mocking us with its power

screaming and curseing,

rocks flying with a trail of fire following behind

beating us in waves as lava flows from its fist

until the volcano explodes killing us all.

At this point it doesnt matter what your political veiws are,

who you voted for

what your skin tone is

who your hommies are

NONE OF THIS MATTERS!!

because no house will be left standing to save us

we must save ourselves.

what matters is we are all people

human

and we've all got a volcano to take care of.
