Sometimes I feel awful

And maybe I shouldn't

but I do, all the same

Clocks strike five

and I'm supposed to go

but I can tell it's part of their game

And I sit down by the city--

I was never really in it;

I was never even part of it--

And I think to myself:

why do I become their prey?

If I could, I would just fly off of this balcony

because I want to, I really want to
