Like A Voodoo Spell

Cast under a sea of dream

I pardon

Lying beside a wall of glass

I cry

The world is shifting

Slowly

I age

Locking away a million thoughts

Stored

I am left missing

A door is slammed shut

In a mirror I have found

At my side

I gaze

At the wonder behind me

The light reflects off

I sigh

                                                                  A word is silent

Yet the absence is loud

Many moments have passed

Unexpressed misguidance a burden

I suffer

An unhealed wound left open

I cringe

In the pain that stills

Only if the sea is black

The stars have vanished

A mouth without its kisses

And an eye without a sparkle

A vision is blurred

Through angel tears

All burdens are heavy

On the weight of one world

Something

I say

Is wrong

But the memories I know

Are far off

No trace of loneliness

Stains such a sweet disgrace

Yet the way the world shifts

And the ground rumbles

Lightning lights the skies

And rain marks a beauty’s eyes

Like magic

But with a bit more blue

I am vulnerable to this

Unthinkable incident

This undesirable moment

Its empty

This strength I have left to offer

I no longer hurt

My mind is numb

You cannot see the mask

And never will you again

But

I am still stuck

In the same dream

But like I always say

Rest in peace,

The memories that need to die.
