Vulnerability

Because I Love You…

You are the last thought in my mind as my eyes struggle to stay open.

More than that,

I stopped having to claw my way out of bed in the morning.

I hate to admit it, but

You consume more thoughts in my day then any ordinary thing should.

Yes,

I have become accustomed to you being a part of my every waking, breathing moment.

Some days I think I am crazy;

I have family that tell me that I should not put so much trust in one boy.

It is true, my heart is vulnerable,

You have enough power to wreck my entire heart.

But,

All I know is that the love I have for you freezes all my fears mid-thought.

Because I Love You…

My heart never second-guesses doing a trust fall right into the palms of your hands.
