Dear Future Me,
How did you make it? Life is endless. Always somewhere to be, someone to disappoint. Expectations continually weighing down on me, dragging my soul to the core of hell. Every day getting out off bed is becoming harder and harder to do. How did you make it? The people judge you when you are happy and they judge you when you are sad. All you want to be is okay.
Are you ok? Is that what finally happens? Does the sun start to not annoy you when it shines on your face? Is getting out of bed a breeze that gently blows you through your day? Do you not care what people think, whether you are happy or sad or anything in between? Are you free to go where you please more often, whether it's the beach or the park or out on the town or in your own bed? Do you live to your own standards? Not relying on someone else to tell you how to be happy or beautiful? Are you free? Finally, finally free? I hope you are free.
Best wishes and Love,
The present Hannah Martin
