Waffle

A ‘ding’ sounds

And out pops

The miracle of life.

A miracle of

Golden deliciousness

It lands on a

Hard flat surface

As it awaits

Its doom.

A sticky goop

Is poured atop

After the spreading of

A something thick

Just when it thinks

The torture is over,

It is cut into

Many tiny squares

Before being lifted

Up and into

The mouth of a starving

15 year old girl.
