Wait

Another day goes by

One more mouthful

An added presence

Who am I to eat what a famished child could?

Why do I take up precious space in earth?

It would be so easy

So simple

So insignificant

To die

But wait!

What about my family?

My young sibling

My mother

My father

Would they care at all?

Of course not

So do it

But wait!

This is mad!

How can I?

Would it really be that easy?

Of course it would

All you gotta do

Is jump

But wait!

Don't do it!

Things will improve

You can count on it

Don't give up

Because somewhere on this earth

Someone does care
