wait

the bird sits and waits

it waits in silence

it waits in peace

it debates leaving

it debates staying

but he waits

he waits for a sign

he waits for a hint

he waits for a clue

he waits for something

to tell him what to do.

the waiting is difficult

its hard for him to do

he's young and reckless

and wants to fly

but he knows deep down

that he wont fly high

so he waits.

he waits

he waits

he waits

he waits

for his mate.
