Waiting
Christmas around the corner
Sweet smell of cake hovering around
Old couple
Confined in a room
Holding hands
Comforting each other
Remembering the old golden busy days
Of partying with children and relatives
Now everyone is busy in their own life
Old couple
Forlorn
Depression setting in
Still
Trying to count their blessings
Waiting anxiously
With a little hope in their heart
For a knock on the door
