Waiting

My Dearest Love,

Hello Sweetheart. How are you? I hope class went well for you today. I know you were worried about giving your presentation today, even if you tried to hide it from me. I am sure you did great! You worked so hard on it, not that you needed to. You're so smart it would be impossible for you to not do well. You will succeed in anything you set your mind to.

The days are getting especially long the longer you're away. Today was one of the worst. It felt as if I could feel every single mile between us and every single mile felt like three. I do not know why today was one of the worse days, maybe it was due to the fact that our morning phone call was cut off before I was prepared to say goodbye. I'm not sure. All I know is that in just a little while we will finally be reunited and that is the best Christmas present you could ever give me. I long for the night where we don't say "Goodbye", only "Goodnight" but for now I will settle for hearing you say goodnight over the phone instead of into my ear. I miss watching you play the sport you love and I wish I could have watched your game last night. I miss your playfulness, picking me up and carrying me around when I am more than capable of walking down the stairs on my own. I miss how when you fall asleep you pull me closer.

I cannot wait to see you again.

All My Love,

Your Girl
