Waiting

Sitting

Legs crossed

Legs uncrossed

Elbows on knees

Trying to stay awake

My name is called

I follow to the chair

Beside his bed

He's snoring

And snoring

He stirs... Machine beeps

Nurse says lay flat

Checks vitals

He starts talking

"Drunk" as can be

He's funny and witty

I laugh and relax

No more waiting
