Waiting
Everyday, I was always waiting.
Waiting for you to come home, waiting for a hug or a kiss hello to know that you missed me when you were out at work making your money to keep me and my siblings alive. But no. You took your time, you made a new life, you were so full of yourself with your pride and ego that you didn't see what you had in front of you. Now that you continue to think you are all that, you failed to see what I have become without you. I finished high school with out you. I am going to university to have a better life. I am helping my siblings climb out of their dugged holes that you put them in. I am helping my mother who was waiting for you to come home. But I've learned only one thing from you. I am capable to do the most impossible things without you. I am willing to push myself to the edge and see myself grow because I know I can make it without you. So I will be waiting. Not for you to come back and think that I need you, but for you to come to me and see what kind of person I became without you.
