Waiting For

Vision begins to blur, as peripheral darkness expands. Realities strangled grip loosens, as I slip from it's brutal hands. Sound echoes in the distance, fading tenderly till incoherent. Time slows to say goodbye, then continues on indifferent. Hesitation makes no attempt, on my meeting with Eternity. Peace instead invades, with Nothing's vast tranquility. This moment steals me free, from a life unbecoming. I surrender completely unto, Oblivion's silent drumming. Karma however, insists on due diligence. Devastation lends it's hand, with vicious precipitance. Vision begins to focus, sound returns audible. Reality resumes it's grip, Time's interest remains nominal. All but defeated, I take solace in my somber rapport. Dissolution from this world, be what I'm left waiting for.
