Waiting
In this household, I am trapped.
Forever bound by my elders.
Never to be sought after by peers,
By future mates,
By future lovers.
Alas, my father would have their head,
And mine soon after.
I am trapped in evil ways.
The ways that are meant to protect me,
But instead, bind me with their iron hold.
I shall never see the light in any way,
Other than that of child.
I loathe being bound.
I loathe being trapped.
I pray for the day the sun will shine,
And reveal its truths to me.
I pray for the day, in which I am freed from my chains,
And let free from my elders.
Until then, I shall sit here,
Trapped in this household,
Held by my bindings,
Waiting
