Waiting to Escape

One thing to bring to an island...

A modern piece of technology: my cell phone.

Alone in my own cyclone,

My phone, not bound by data or minutes,

has its "Find iPhone" enabled.

My heart would hold hope within it.

A phone's ability to do this is fabled,

it would be common sense to check this.

Battery life used for my own rescue,

I would wait and stay away from insanity's abyss.

Waiting alone, I'll marvel at no curfew.

I'll survive as I wait,

Filtering water and gathering food,

I'll try to signal ships too, hopefully catch the eye of a shipmate,

My tools would obviously be crude,

But I'll make do.

Just please don't make me wait forever.
