Waiting For A Miracle

Now that you're gone,

I sit here and wait,

You've been away too long,

I'm still expecting to hear you come in late.

In the middle of the night,

you tend to cross my mind,

your smile still in sight,

I wish my life would just rewind

back to the days

when you were here,

Back to the ways,

when you were always near.

I am lucky to have been so close ,

 you were the one

that i admired most.

Now that you're gone,

I sit here and wait,

I know you want me to move on

But I can't bring myself to believe this was fate.
