Waiting for the Rain

Waiting for the Rain I wish you were there more Remember nights when I used to cry on my bedroom floor, I don’t know what’s more important I began to get used to the word - “cant” I have learned to stop hoping for a change I feel like a cactus in the desert waiting for the rain I used to be a cub and you were the lion, I’ve come so far no more of the crying Life will go on with or without you To the point where there’s only one thing to do I have learned to stop hoping for a change I feel like a cactus in the desert waiting for the rain I will move forward with my head high no matter your absence This ship will flow and I am the captain Life has taught me one important thing Hoping for something that will never happen will cause a painful sting I have learned to stop hoping for a change I feel like a cactus in the desert waiting for the rain
