Wake Up

Lord?
Do you have space for me?

In your dreams?

Although this sin you can’t forgive,

please let me in.

Im breaking down in my skin.

Gotta wake up,

gotta make up,

this rough life.

I’m falling down,

to my knees.

I need to pray,

because the future isn’t what I see.

Lord?

who am I?

I look in the mirror and see blank eyes.

I wipe my tears,

and dream I can fly.

I know me,

I’m not here.

Please help me shed these terrible fears.

Gotta wake up,

gotta make up,

this rough life.

I’m falling down,

to my knees.

I need to pray,

because the future isn’t what I see.

Lord,

I’m knocking down your front door,

I can’t handle this anymore.

I know you gave me this life,

but I don’t feel like this is right.

Help me find the key to your gate,

this is my true fate.

Gotta wake up,

gotta make up,

this rough life.
