Wake up

It is currently two a.m in the morning my eyes heavy with tears that stream down to my lips salty but refreshing; my neck holds a ten layered nuse that we call your fingers... you promise me rings but you never said they would be black instead of gold around my eyes they dance . Around my eyes they do dance. I lay here in this bed of pain your arm strap around my torso you say "don't move" and kiss my ear. Your kisses were always soft but your words are like fire. They incinerated me… You’ve always claim that I was taller. So better way to heighten your ego than to use my self esteem as your stepping stool, but even than we don’t me eye to eye. “Eyeing him! I seen you. Hand cock back but baby I didn’t mean to . Its just when your eyes wonder my mind begin to wonder and when my mind begin to wonder I get lost in this sea of emotions. And when I’m lost in this sea of emotions it seems the most common wave is anger. So when the tide hits the sand I HIT YOU! He hit me. It wasn’t his first but every time he swore it was his last and all I can keep thinking is how long this façade will last. Its becoming to the point where my eyes never leave the grown I’m the true version of the women that sings “I’m going down.” I think I have become accustom to the love he is giving me. The clinch of his fist have become my kiss the smack of his open palm has become my warm embrace. I think I have become accustom to this love. I think I have become accustom to this life I’m living. I think I becoming accustom to you. It is currently two a.m in the morning my eye heavy with tears that choke me… you are not here today. So I lay on the floor my back against the door and I scream. I scream loud enough so that I can hear me. How long will you wallow in this pity for him? Thinking there will be some miraculous change in his unshakable attitude. Unconsciously falling for his every move, WAKE UP! So, this is for every woman who’s been in abusive hibernation. Wake up! This is for every women who take rest upon his needle bed of harsh words. Wake up! This is even for the women who cat-naps in his calamity. WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! Because the next time he hits you… you won’t
