wake
We rise before sunrise
To ignite our burning torches
We rise before sunrise
To chase the parasitical roaches
Into their dark crevices
They retreat as we rise
Mom always told me that I have to rise before the sun does.
Engraved within my candid mind is the notion that I am the son
Embedded within my bones is the sermon that I am made of the sun
Darkness brings rest, for in ignorance have we found true bliss
Lightness brings restlessness, for you see all that is amiss
Today we rise to drink the blood of the slain before dawn
We will rest during the day for victory came early today
We strike in the dark when they are still far away.
