Walk On
Down the brick path I stumble.
The skies above darken and grow heavy.
The road beneath my feet thickens over, dragging me back further and further away.
But, upon my shoulder there it lay.
Pushing me forward.
The clouds stand unwaiverd, and the path crumbles below.
But, it stayed and pushed me past the dark days.
My feet wouldn't catch the Earth,
and my body met the ground.
But, upon my shoulder it sent me along the way.
The wind pushed me back and it told me to pursue on.
My legs grew heavy and my body weak.
But, it told me to stop for the night.
To rest and recovery and the next day push on.
No matter how dark, or how thick the path gets.
I will always walk on and carry that with me.
