The walk for gratitude

I took the walk of gratitude

Some people look at it was a walk of death, shame, and accomplishment

I’m finally doing what I need to do

This walk was used to prove my worthiness to the world

Being a minority and going off to the next dream is something we need to talk about

This will become the next journey in life for most of us

These memories will help us move on

With a smile on my face, I achieved my first act of gratitude

Gratitude is  the quality of being thankful

This is where I’m not a girl anymore I am a woman

I’m finally allowed to do what I need to do

I can move on with my life

The walk across the stage gave me an epiphany about being a real adult

I remember saying I wanted to grow up but now I don’t want to do adult things

I wanted to wear heels and drive

Now I hate both

But this helped me miss my childhood so much
