Walk the Hall

We learn to walk the halls

Put our heads down

And play along

Why are the lights so dim?

Is this a classroom

Or a jail cell

More questions i’ll never know the answer to

They say

“You’re an adult now”

I say

“When did that happen?”

We learn to walk the halls

But I won’t put my head down

I won’t play along
