Walk With Me

Come walk with me, Along this winding road. Come travel with me, Slowly we’ll discover. We began our journeys On separate paths. Two roads diverged, You took one, I the other. Always side-by-side, But never did we cross. I waved to you from mine, You smiled from yours. Always side-by-side, But never did we intersect. Slowly your road journeyed away. You traveled out of my sight. The road was rocky, The light grew dark, The vision was bleak. You descended deeper. I could not see you. Two more roads diverged, Yet this time, They were both for you. The one, wide and gaping, Consumed all your vision. The darkness beckoned, The demons grew loud. Come, they called. This will ease your pain. This will bring contentment. Dive a little deeper, This is your fate. You must choose. You did choose. Into the darkness A light did shine. Starting small, It grew bright. It illuminated that Which you could not see. A narrow path. It lead away from the rocks. In a step of faith, You trod upon Its comforting ground. Two roads converged, Yours into mine. There was room for two. No need to fear, Here, You can rest your eyes. Here, Your brokenness is healed. Here, You will find peace. Come walk with me, Along this winding road. Come travel with me, Slowly we’ll discover, Together we’ll discover, The secret of how to fly.
