Walk the Path

Walk the path

Walk the path that you paved

The path that you paved with supposed kindness

The path that you paved with a golden street

Path that you paved with arched trails

Path that you paved with forbidden fruit trees aligned

That you paved with but never allowed yourself to taste

That you paved with but did so being blind

You paved with your bare hands

You paved with no heart

Paved with no good intention

Paved with no redemption being sought

With no forgiveness being asked

With now every flaw exposed

And you like every folk

Are known to the One who the power holds
