walking away from myself.

With tenacity you chace me

You seek me out,

I run until I am weary

And you always fill me with doubt.

You chow me things

That I cannot un-see

You tell me things

That should never be.

But what can I do?

You are inside me

I cannot run away

From the destruction you bring.

You hollow me out

I live as a shadow

If I let you have control, you will take from me my life

You will violently end me, but oh, the irony.

I am already dead.

You’ve taken my heart and turned it to stone,

I am still living but not as my own.

I try to build myself up

But I cannot defy your gravity,

You cave me in, bury me in debris.

I cannot escape from you

And this is the saddest part.

You are forever bound to me

So to kill you

Woud be to kill myself.
