Walking Corpse

The sun is shining

Yet there is thunder in the sky

Pain is in the air

And drops are on the pavement

My spirit comes spiraling down

And crashes into the earth

The contents scatter

Scavengers devour the remains

Basking in the nutrients of my soul

Now I am nothing

A walking corpse

Taking up space

I go through each day as a zombie

Numb, unaware of all pain

I hear them talk

But am unaware of what they are saying

Should i care?

I choose not to

For I am just a walking corpse

No purpose in life

Created only to fall into the hands of death.
