Walking Down The Street

I walk down the street and see my brother get shot

Now my brother that killed him has to get got

Now I’m picking sides, either the red or the blue

But both are my brothers, so I don’t have a clue

This Black on Black crime make me sink into hell

Revenge whispers in my ear, tolls the bell

Black Lives Matter but does it matter in the ghetto

When I gotta choose between the dead and the living fellow

Black Lives Matter when the cop shoots sixteen times

But do it matter with senseless, degenerate Black on Black crime

You got Jordans that I want so now you’re dead

A five dollar bill got you in a deathbed

Taking my brother’s life also took my soul

You looked at me wrong so I put you in a hole

Walking down the street and see my brother go down

Got shot by his brother in the skin that’s Brown

You my family, you my blood, so why we gotta beef?

Tired of seeing my brother’s red blood soak the streets

Black Lives Matter so stop the killing

Stop the 6ft holes with Black bodies filling

I walk down the street and see my brother almost shot

Rather stand between the guns before my brother get got

One of the ten come to stop Black on Black hate crime

No more serving time for treating our Black selves like slime

Walking down the street arm to arm with the 10k

Til self-love is established all night and day
