Walking Firefly

Sometimes I act childish I feel like a little kid Yet I see otherwise on the mirror As I walk the roads of happiness and despair Little by little I lose my innocence I know there's no turning back There is only one door left to open The one that takes me farther away from my old self But the little girl I used to be still lives inside of me And every night when I can't sleep I can only wish I wish water could wash the weight of the world from my shoulders I wish air could bring back the years I wish I could start over again Now I can only pretend I am a little kid again Before I go to sleep Before I wake up again
