The Wall
Torn apart and broken down there is always a wall to lean on.
On days that are the baddest of bad leaning on the wall makes you the gladdest of glad.
Though the wall cannot outstretch a limb to pull you up,
the wall is always at your side aiding in resurrection.
The wall may get in the way and you may neglect it but
beaten and battered, abused and mistreated the wall still stands
scrapes, abrasions, marks, and erosion the wall valiantly stays strong.
For every nick and chip reminds you of your past.
For every nick and chip have a story to tell.
The chips and nicks prod the memory of days gone and
the chips and nicks remind you of the love for the wall.
Yet also the walls passion for you.
Every wall will collapse,
you must both muster up the vitality and tenancy to rise,
not alone but together as one.
For the drive you place on the wall
the wall places the drive on you.
Standing above all else is the wall.
The wall will always be there.
The wall is you.
