The Wall

The walls

they stand

taller than all

but still i try

broken

ruined

hidden away

still you try to stay

but the walls will fall

and you’ll stand tall

when you’re finally free

but i may fall

within the wall

trying to save

the one who will pave

the way for me

The wall is shambles

I’m left there

rummaging through the rubble

looking for you

hidden

in trouble

but still you hide from me

I broke the wall

to set you free

and still you try

to hide from me

but you can’t see

the truth of what you mean to me

the utter beauty you hide in the darkness

left without care or even sense

still i’d break the walls again

to see you smile until the end.

I write poems in my spare time. I love writing in general as well, but I tend to only write bits and pieces when I have time instead of actually taking a full segment of time to write.
