The Wall

There is a wall... Intricate, Shimmery Beautiful It's all meant to deceive you. It cuts everything and anything It must be unbreakable! I could try screaming But It would not budge, I could try banging my fists against it, But my hands would come away bloodied. It reflects a distorted image of myself Quite well and easily! I know that to attack with weapons would be futile. A retreat seems like the only option... To do this, though, takes away my power Retreating would only temporarily solve this problem. I won't fool myself Into thinking next time will be different. So I must make a stand... I will risk the blood and bruises.
