The Wall between our Love

I want to tell them I love them
That I want to hug them
To hold them
To just convey the message about what they mean to me

But there’s something holding me back
It tears up my soul
Almost like a heart attack

I just get mad
And mader
And madder

Every little thing they do sets off a bomb inside my head

Will they ever know I think they matter?
Will my brothers ever know I love them?
Or will they leave home and never look back at me?

Have it always be awkward at dinner when we see each other again?

Our parents are sick of our fighting
The yelling
The arguing
Something just takes over me
I’m just looking through the glass as my body does things I can’t control
I’m screaming pounding on the glass but I’m unheard

I try so hard not to fight with them
But I just can’t stop
I don’t know how
I try to but it’s too hard

So hard that I don’t even know if my brothers know I love them.

I would die for them
Yet I yell at every little thing they do.

I would fight, and die fighting for any one of them.

Yet all I do is fight with them.

I can’t stop it
It’s a full speed train with the breaks cut.
Crashing into things,
Falling of the track.

Yet I will try
And if my brothers are listening,
Know that I’m sorry
Thanks for putting up with me,
And just know that I love you.
