Walled
You spent your life building walls around yourself
Brick by brick
Shutting yourself from the pain
Because I love you,
I will not dismantle your work
I will not destroy your walls
I will reach in
Tell you it's okay
And mean it
I will sit with you inside
Until we're ready to come out
Because patience is love
Because understanding is love
Because acceptance is love
Because I love you for who you are
Not who I want you to be
