Wallflower
The perks of being a wallflower
I don’t know what they are
to be invisible
angry and feel so alone.
So angry
So critical
Trying to control
my environment
make it fair again.
It’s not fair…
Oh, why can’t it be fair?
I’m burning my bridges
guarding my walls
but still I don’t want to let you go
I don’t want to lose you
I don’t want you to leave
like the others
and I don’t want you
to forget me
We’re all here
for a reason.
I just don’t know
what that reason is, yet.
Like nerves and neurons
we are all connected.
Touching like branches
of a tree
connected
to the trunk
of the tree of life.
