Thoughts race a mile a minute,

Keep telling myself to quit it,

Never can get rest,

Heart sinks in my chest,

Always passing back and forth,

Avoiding if it's really the worth,

Been the worry-sort forever,

Wonder if I'll get better,

Just try to think positive,

Again here comes the negative,

High and low emotions,

From laughter to explosions,

Am I okay? I never say,

Nerves ruin my day,

White-knuckle flyer,

A fight or flighter,

I'm still on land,

At least try to take a stand,

Words don't come out,

Heavy in self-doubt,

Shadows tower,

Just a wallflower.
