Walls of Jericho, Fall

If only I could stop that hate

That divides brother from brother, friend from friend

Leaving all in an unforgiving state

It has lasted from the beginning, and seems to have no end

Starting from the first blow, when Cain struck Abel

Have we ever sought to hate each other, without reason, without purpose

Forming stereotypes, and other such fables

Meant only to divide, that is all it is

We've built up our own wall, like Jericho

Fortified against each other, while feinting friendship

Ah, only again would the might of God let such hate go

And topple our mighty walls of hate, reinforced with brutal whip

If e'er we could let our divisions fall

There would be no end to our peace, none at all
