Wally

Your birthday was today.

You turned 50.

We missed you.

Grandpa remembers when you gave him

The father's day card three days early;

You said you weren't going to be there.

Your name

Wasn't on the list for school the next year.

You never made it out of first grade.

I've seen pictures of you.

You look like grandpa

Only you are eternally a child.

Did you see the truck coming?

Did you tell them you loved them?

What's it like to be gone?
