Wandering In The Dark

I focus on the bare trees dancing in the wind

As it battles the cruel power cables above and grins

The vast darkness surrounds me-

with a few blinks of light,

As I wander under the luminous glow of the lights

 filled with life.

The brisk, cold wind whispers to me,

As it floats around to it's own melody:

It says "Things will get better, but for now hold on",

"You can do this" It says, "You are strong".

Our conversation comes to a close

And it carries on making music for the trees to flow to.

The tree branches wave goodbye,

As I carry on wandering into the darkness of the night.
