The Wandering, Whispering Wind

Hello Wind,

Where have you been?

Have you been skimming,

Lightly flying over the rice fields,

Emerald green, in the Far East,

Teasing the farmers

With their wide straw hats.

Or were you spending your time

In London

That great city

Trying to blow away the fog

From the face of Big Ben

Surprising the people

With your pink cheeks

Always puffing and blowing and,

Laughing

At jokes they

Didn’t hear you say.

Hello wind,

I may not know

Where you spend

The rest of your time,

But right now

I do know this.

You are here.

Aeolus has let you free

And you have come here,

To be the breath of wind

In the hottest season,

Thank you wind!
