Wandering Wolf

Wandering Wolf

Majestic brown-gray fur

Perfection cut from paper

Yellow studying stare

Flawlessly painted

That wonder - why are they scared

Why do they run

Watching and waiting

Through cloudy skies

Through sunny mornings

Through wet rainy nights

Through blanketing snow days

For someone different to see through the true him

He travels the earth

He learns to hide from destruction

And to approach the light

But his experiences make no difference to him

Built emotionless -

He will forever be paper

And he will forever be a wandering wolf looking for a home
