wanderlust

i want my hands to travel the space of your back my eyes take in the plains of your stomach and the mountain ranges of your chest can i kiss your still lake lips gently? i don’t want the water to ripple when shivers run down your spine i’ll keep my eyes open and watch your half-moon lidded eyes blink with stars at me i want to get lost in the clouds of your mussed-up morning hair the roots on your legs ground me, grow into me, bind me can my hands visit the delicate bird bones of your shoulders? i’ll map out exactly where your wings will grow and i’m sorry about the bruises i will leave on your hips i guess i’ll just call them home
