Wannabe

Maybe if I weren’t shy

I’d shine bright in the sky

But I can’t seem to find it

Find what I need to be “it”

The person who I wanna be

I just want to feel free

Maybe it’s not for me

I think I’m just talking with hyperbole

Because the person I see

It clearly ain’t me

I think I’ve lost my mind

Insecure and very indecisive

In my head all the time

I believe that it’s not only me

It is starting to take all of me

It is so irresistible

If I could only improve

Imagination gets the best of me

Impulse irates all of me

It is a part of me
