The Want to Not Want

I want things

That I avoid

Because I do not want

To want.

Wanting comes with anticipation

And desires, when they

Are empty, I become

Empty.

I believe the best things

In life are unanticipated

Blessings, and if it

Is not a thing,

It is a lesson.

If that blessing happens

To manifest into a person,

I pray that God

Crafted that lesson plan

With the magic from

Her hands.

I do not want to want

Because She is watching

Carefully, closely

Analytically.

Blessings are never empty.
