For Want of Real Love
She holds my hand in the gazebo by the lake
where we had our first date.
She stares into me.
My mouth waters. Her eyes tear up.
She leans in for the kiss,
I slip my hand from hers
and place it on her warm neck
and down her back.
She pulls away a little bit,
but she comes back.
She always comes
Back.
My hand slips down her
tight, smooth shorts.
She jumps and slaps my hand away.
C'mon, babe,
I moan.
Don't you love me?
She hangs her head
as I move in.
Her hair, her lips, her body...
Making Love has never been so lovely.
