Want You

I hold your hand

As you start to spiral

I calm you down

You kiss me

A warm familiarity

You and me

So easy

Always so sweet

You make it so good

You make breathing

Suddenly so easy on me

Even after all these years

You still get me

Every time

I count down the days

On a thousand hands

You drive

Slow and steady

We're in no rush

No directions in mind

We fight

Back and forth

Over where to go

No one knows

Just you and me

The wind in my hair

The radio on

Loud in my ears

But all I feel

Is your hand

Locked in mine

As we drive

On towards tomorrow

Take me in

As I take you down

Just another day

Another round

You and me

Just get it

Just get along

You and me

Just make sense

Always have

And I know now

As I look into your eyes

I will always

Want you
