War

Showered with relief's salty drops Breath a mile away Not even for pity can it stop Bubbles of cruel uncomfort Disperse all at once No ray of light to illuminate the dark Smirking shadows blow tinted wind Paralyzed drums breathe it in Vultures pluck at the brute lifeline Each harder and faster Reasons easily justified Trembling matter Taunted by the thoughts Charming heaviness Caring for the lids Nothing left but a few frail limbs Labored whispers And a book full of sins
